Details are now being firmed up of the fourth in this very popular series of Conferences. It will be he

Pendennis
Castle
on Friday 26 February 2010. The whole day will be given over to workshops, with participants being able to choose three workshops from a list that will enable them to choose either all geography, all history, or to ‘mix and match’. In addition there will be a large number of stalls from both local and national providers of resources to teachers.
Already confirmed for the history workshops are:
Tim Lomas
– A vastly experienced Adviser and Inspector, who contributes regularly to Primary History magazine and many other history publications and who is in great demand as a workshop leader. Tim will address the teaching of history as part of the reformed primary curriculum.
Tom Pether
– A teacher at
Blackawton
Primary School

Devon
who has already had excellent reviews following workshops ‘across the Tamar’. Tom will address linking history and other subjects to the Wars of the Roses.
Jamie Byrom
– The History Adviser in
Devon
and popular textbook writer will offer two different workshops. One that looks at history in the early years and KS1 and another that addresses a historical period linked to
Pendennis
Castle
